Lessons
General Information
Lessons are either huntseat or western and will be taught by one of the various members of the woods team. In order to get the most from lessons, each student should attend at least one week of day camp prior to beginning lessons.
Group Lessons
Two to three students are placed in each group to learn the basics of riding. During the one-hour lesson, the students will groom and tack up their horse, ride at least 30 minutes, untack and groom at the end. The cost is $45 per student. Ages 7 & up.
Individual Lessons
These lessons are offered at various times. This 45-minute lesson is structured much like the group lesson with at lest 30 minutes of ride time and horses can be provided by the student. There is currently a waiting list for Lessons on Horses provided by The Woods. The cost is $60 per student. Ages 5 & up.
